Reporting your matches

How a few seconds after a match make the counters better for everyone — and what is sent.

Overwatch 1 min read Updated October 3, 2026

Opt-in, anonymous

Reporting starts only after you accept the contribution consent. You get an anonymous contributor key: no name, email or game account is attached to your reports.

A report holds the map, mode, result, the heroes you played and the heroes on both teams — what matchup statistics need, nothing else.

Your control

Export or delete all your reports at any time from the Contribute page. In the desktop app, an optional reminder appears after a session of ten minutes or more.

Reports only shape a counter once enough players have reported the same pair: no individual player is ever visible.
